Bhakti-Shakti Sangam is a two-hour live musical experience that brings together the energy of Maharashtra’s devotional and folk traditions. Featuring powerful forms like Abhang, Bharud, Gondhal, Jogwa, and Goulani, the program connects spiritual expression with rich cultural performance. With traditional instruments and authentic presentation, the event offers audiences an immersive journey into the heart of Warkari and Lok Kala traditions—bridging heritage and devotion on a vibrant musical stage.
The musical ensemble of Bhakti-Shakti Sangam features expert traditional artists from Alandi, deeply rooted in the Warkari tradition. The group includes Pandurang Pawar (Tabla), Rajendra Maharaj Baghe (Pakhawaj), Abhay Nalge (Harmonium & Narration), Somnath Tarte (Sambal), Suraj Tarte (Dimdi), and vocalists Vijay Sonawane and Prasad Bhandwalkar. Together, they create a powerful, spiritual soundscape using age-old instruments and rhythmic cycles, enhancing the devotional depth and cultural authenticity of the entire performance.
Avdhut Gandhi is a celebrated devotional and folk singer, playback artist, composer, and actor. A traditional priest from the lineage of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, he blends deep-rooted spirituality with contemporary artistry. Known for his powerful voice in historical films like Fatteshikast, Pawankhind, Sher Shivraj, and Subhedar, he is a recipient of the Maharashtra Times Sanman for Best Playback Singer (2024). With over 1500 live performances, he continues to carry forward the musical legacy of Maharashtra.
